Our vision was to develop the first fully integrated solution for collaborative care using advanced mobile technology that connects the consumer with ongoing medical guidance and a community of support. Using mobile solutions for driving collaborative care represents a paradigm shift from traditional disease management.
GenerationOne’s mobile solutions empower individuals to actively manage their health and wellness, so that patients with chronic illness can improve outcomes and healthy individuals can optimize their health status. Our continuous transmission and capture of vital health information transforms care from retroactive, event based, disease management to patient empowerment, early detection, prospective management and real-time detection and management.
GenerationOne was founded by a group of both medical and technical professionals to create a better, more effective way to manage health and wellness. Our success comes from understanding the needs of the market and exceeding the expectations of our customers. We feel a sense of urgency on any matters related to our customers and are committed to innovation. We anticipate the direction and needs of the market and embrace change. Jeffrey Wolf
Chairman and CEO
Mr. Wolf is focused on creating, financing, nurturing, and growing new ventures based on breakthrough research and technology. Prior to founding GenerationOne, Mr. Wolf founded and was the Managing Partner of Seed-One Ventures, a firm focused on identifying and acquiring cutting-edge ideas and technologies and the systematic formation and management of early-stage, high-growth companies based on these breakthroughs. Jeff founded and served as Chairman/CEO of several medical technology companies including TyRx Pharma, a company focused on the development of bio-compatible polymers; EluSys Therapeutics, a company focused on the development of a novel technology to remove blood-borne pathogens; Avigen, a San Francisco-based gene therapy company; and Sensatex, a Maryland company focused on the development of novel medical diagnostic systems.
Mr. Wolf received an MBA from Stanford Business School, a J.D. from New York University School of Law and a B.A. with Honors in Economics from the University of Chicago.
Jaime Borras
Chief Operating Officer
Jaime Borras is highly regarded for his innovation and operational leadership in taking new technologies to market. Mr. Borras is a pioneer and innovator in the Wireless Telecommunications Industry.
Mr. Borras excelled up the technical leadership ranks at Motorola since the introduction of the first generation cellular phone. Borras led the technology efforts of the MOTOHEALTH, Motorola’s division focused on creating an interactive experience that enabled individuals to be proactive about their well being and designed to improve efficiency and productivity in health organizations. He served as Motorola’s Senior Fellow for 4G WiMAX Group, Corporate Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of the iDEN Mobile Devices, a multi-billion dollar handset business. He was appointed a Dan Noble Fellow and elected to the Motorola Science Advisory Board and also elected President of the Latino Business Council. Mr Borras is a Master Innovator with 42 US utility patents, over 30 technical publications and international speeches; Chairperson of the Florida Atlantic University Industry Advisory Board and a member of the Florida International University IAB.
Mr. Borras holds dual BS degrees in Physics and Electrical Engineering, a Master degree in EE, a Business diploma from Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
Gloria Griessman
Chief Marketing Officer
Ms. Griessman has more than 20 years experience in market development, branding and strategic marketing with Fortune 500 and privately-held companies. She is widely recognized for her work in establishing new brands and driving aggressive growth for companies in internet media, healthcare and technology. Prior to joining GenerationOne, Ms. Griessman managed marketing efforts for Virtue, a leading social media company. She also served as Vice President of Strategic Marketing for ChoicePoint, where she led market development plans for $250M enterprise and online services division, and as the Vice President of Consumer Marketing for WebMD, where she drove aggressive brand management and online growth resulting in online traffic in excess of 6 million unique monthly visitors. Ms. Griessman also held a number of key marketing roles at Turner Broadcasting, and has also worked with several advertising agencies including McCann-Erickson and Adair-Greene, a leading healthcare agency. Ms. Griessman is a member of the AMA and CMO Club. She received her B.S. in Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Don Rosen
Chief Technology Officer
Throughout his career, Mr. Rosen has been responsible for activities supporting healthcare and pharmaceutical industry clients worldwide, combining management consulting and business information systems planning with systems implementation and organizational change management. In addition to his work overseeing GenerationOne’s technology strategy and development, Mr. Rosen is the U.S. Chair of the Drug Information Association (DIA) eClinical Special Interest Area Community (SIAC) and previously co-chaired the Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium (CDISC) Industry Advisory Board. He is a member of the Continua Health Alliance and Health Level Seven (HL7). Prior to joining GenerationOne, Mr. Rosen was Vice President of Lincoln Technologies Inc. and of Phase Forward. Previously, he was in charge of KPMG’s Pharmaceutical R&D practice, was a Partner at Computer Sciences Corp HealthCare Division, and held similar positions with Coopers & Lybrand and AGS Computers.
Trent Thomason
Vice President of Sales
Mr. Thomason has 23 years of experience in industry sales and business development, with deep expertise in the healthcare industry. Throughout his career, he has served in sales management roles for Fortune 500 and privately held organizations, primarily in the care management solutions and interventional cardiac device environments. Prior to joining GenerationOne, Mr. Thomason served as Vice President of Health Plan Sales and Client Management for Matria Healthcare, where he proved instrumental in growing and developing the industry’s longest standing vended disease management solution with a national health plan. He also served as part of the disease management industry’s first national provider of condition management services, leading development of CorSolutions’ employer market sales strategy. Through his past positions, which also include Cardiac Solutions and Alere/Inverness Medical Innovations, Mr. Thomason has worked closely with payers from the self funded employer, Medicare, Medicaid and commercial health plan markets. Mr. Thomason received a B.S. in Business Administration from Florida State University.
Paul Belsky, M.D.
Senior Medical Advisor
Dr. Belsky is focused on seeking and acquiring new technologies for the formation of cutting edge biomedical companies. Dr. Belsky has extensive expertise in the clinical practice of internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases, and was formerly on the clinical academic faculty at Weill College of Medicine, Cornell University. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Chest Physicians, is a member of the American College of Physicians, and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at New York University School of Medicine.
Dr. Belsky served as a scientific advisor to Elusys Therapeutics, Sensatex, and TyrxPharma. He received his M.D. from the University of California at San Francisco, and his AB in Biology from Brown University, where he was elected Phi Beta Kappa.
Jorge Perdomo
Vice President, Business Development
Mr. Perdomo has 14 years of experience in the wireless communications industry, including marketing and sales, engineering and business development. Prior to joining GenerationOne, he served as the Senior Intellectual Property Licensing and New Business Development Manager for Motorola, where he worked for 11 years in a variety of positions after being recruited into the prestigious Motorola Engineering Rotation Program. He also worked in Technical Corporate Sales and Marketing for Paging Network of Miami (PAGENET). Mr. Perdomo, who holds 32 issued and pending patent applications, was part of the Motorola team responsible for Page Writer, which received the International Consumer Electronics Show Innovation Award. He also received the Motorola Recognition Award for WiMAX/iDEN Advanced Technologies. Mr. Perdomo holds Six Sigma and Motorola Digital Six certification. He currently serves on the University Advisory Council Boards for the University of Florida and Florida International University. He received his MBA with a specialization in international business from the University of Miami and his B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering (BSEE) from the University of Florida.
Eve Shalley
Vice President, Product Management
Ms. Shalley has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, including leading development in the creation of new solutions and technology, implementing marketing strategies, and managing teams of senior pharmaceutical professionals and software developers. Prior to joining GenerationOne, Ms. Shalley was the Vice President of Program Management for CSW Ltd, where she developed and implemented new solutions targeted at pharmaceuticals and healthcare. Previously, she served as Senior Vice President, Pharmaceutical & Healthcare Practice, for Intrasphere Technologies, overseeing the creation of niche technology solutions for pharmaceutical and healthcare. Ms. Shalley also spent 12 years with Pfizer Inc., serving as Project Manager for their global SAE system and as Senior Manager responsible for reorganizing the corporate technology group. Ms. Shalley is a member of the Drug Information Association (DIA) and has spoken on pharmaceutical technology at three DIA conferences. She received her B.A. (Magna Cum Laude) from Barnard College, Columbia University.
Kyle Cox
Vice President of Operations
Mr. Cox has 13 years of experience in the healthcare technology industry, including marketing, business development, and operations. Prior to joining GenerationOne, Mr. Cox was the Manager, Market Development for St. Jude Medical’s Western Division, where he managed a team of 22 senior sales representatives in the Cardiac Rhythm Management group. He also served as marketing manager for SJM’s largest product group, with a portfolio of more than 20 products and annual revenues in excess of $600 million. Prior to St. Jude Medical, Mr. Cox held various sales and operations positions with start-up healthcare companies, including WebMD and QuickCompliance (now part of Discovery Communications). Mr. Cox received his MBA from Goizueta Business School at Emory University and his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Kyriaki “Kiki” Stein
Director of Quality and Regulatory Affairs
Ms. Stein is responsible for managing GenerationOne’s quality, regulatory and HIPAA compliance efforts. She has more than 20 years global experience in quality assurance, process improvement, testing and regulatory affairs with proven expertise in healthcare. She has delivered quality-related value in industries including medical devices, aerospace, airlines, telecommunications and wireless products for Fortune 500 and privately held organizations. Ms Stein applied her expert knowledge of the medical device industry, GMP, FDA QSR and IEEE verification and validation standards during the implementation of the initial Telemedicine project for Motorola. She was responsible for the creation and management of all the quality and regulatory aspects of the MOTOHEALTH project. Her career in healthcare quality continued at MAKO Surgical. Ms Stein also managed successful implementations of quality systems, change management and quality improvement efforts for Hewlett Packard Consulting Services, Lucent Technologies, System One Amadeus and Royal Caribbean Cruises. Ms Stein is certified in Six Sigma as well as AAMI 21 CFR Part 820 & 21 CFR Part 11. Her expertise includes Quality Systems Regulations for Medical Devices and Software Verification and Validation Guidance for Product Manufacturers. Ms Stein is an active member of Global HealthCare, Medical Device Group, Medical Device Connection, Quality Gurus and Society of Quality Assurance. Ms Stein speaks five languages and received her B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Bologna, Italy.
Arnold Pittler
Vice President, Product Development
Mr. Pittler is responsible for managing GenerationOne’s product development efforts. Previously, he was a Partner with Global Software Group, LLC, and has also served as Senior Director, Advanced Technology Product Line, Global Software Group, and Director, Software Engineering Research Laboratory, with Motorola Inc. Previously, he was a Principal Fellow, Racal Milgo, for Racal Data Communications Group, Director of Software Engineering with Gould Computer Systems Division, and an Adjunct with Carnegie Mellon University’s Department of Electrical Engineering. Mr. Pittler is an associate for the Motorola Scientific Advisory Board, and a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), Eta Kappa Nu, Tau Beta Pi, and Phi Kappa Phi. His work has been published.

John Danaher, M.D.
Dr. Danaher has tremendous expertise in managing e-business growth, translating vision into profitable enterprises, creating strong business infrastructures, and building high performance teams. As a part of the original management team of WebMD, Dr. Danaher was a key contributor to the rapid growth of the innovative healthcare brand and led the development team that launched the $240 million Professional Division. Under his leadership, the company aggressively grew revenues and Internet transactions by delivering administrative and clinical services to healthcare providers and insurers. Additionally, he was a co-integration lead in the merger of WebMD with Healtheon and other acquisitions that form today’s WebMD. Dr. Danaher also served as the Corporate Vice President of Marketing for Foundation Health Systems (now Health Net Inc.), one of the nation’s largest health insurance companies, where he spearheaded the launch of consumer-centric initiatives to improve member retention and satisfaction. As Medical Director of Fourth Generation Medical Management (4G), he executed a major initiative to design and deliver enterprise wide information system solutions that deployed leading-edge disease management offerings.
Dr. Danaher earned his M.D. from Dartmouth Medical School, his MBA from Stanford Business School, and his B.A. from Trinity College. He completed his residency and chief residency in Internal Medicine at Stanford University Medical Center and is board-certified in Internal Medicine.
James Grotelueschen
Prior to joining GenerationOne, Mr. Grotelueschen was the Vice President of Products at Research in Motion (RIM) where he was responsible for the development and product introduction of the Blackberry product line. Previously, he was Vice President and General Manager of Motorola’s Components Products Division, where he spent 24 years in various capacities in the Cellular Subscriber Sector. Mr. Grotelueschen received his MBA from the University of Chicago and his MSEE and Honors BSEE (Magna Cum Laude) from Marquette University.
Michael Kharitonov, Ph.D.
Dr. Kharitonov is a high technology entrepreneur and computer scientist who has participated in the genesis of several successful high technology startups and venture capital investments in existing companies. He is a co-founder and former Chairman and CEO of Netli, a venture-backed Internet infrastructure company based in Silicon Valley, and NetLive Communications, which specialized in developing real-time multimedia technologies and services for the Internet. Dr. Kharitonov was a Vice President of D. E. Shaw and Co., an international investment bank known as one of the most quantitatively advanced and computerized securities trading firms in the world. He holds a Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Science at Stanford University, where he was awarded a Hertz Fellowship and several scholarly awards.
He also holds a B.A. in Computer Science from University of California at Berkeley, where he was elected Phi Beta Kappa and won several academic awards.
Don Ziccardi
Mr. Ziccardi has more than 20 years of marketing, advertising, strategic planning, sales promotion, and public relations experience and is widely recognized for his keen intuition, creative flair and turn-on-a-dime philosophy. He founded Ziccardi Partners, an advertising agency representing such companies as Random House, American Express, Voss Water, Bulova Watches, Federated, and others which he grew into one of the largest independent agencies in New York with billings in excess of $100 million annually. Prior to that, he was a Financial Analyst and also served as Vice President of Marketing at R.H. Macy, where he directed a $300 million advertising division, and served as Chief Marketing Officer at The May Co., where he oversaw all marketing efforts. Mr. Ziccardi, who authored MasterMinding the Store: Advertising, Sales Promotion, and the New Marketing Reality, is a certified public accountant. He holds an AAS from the Fashion Institute of Technology, a B.B.A. (cum laude) in Marketing from the City University of New York and an MBA in Finance from Bernard Baruch College.
Osman Minkara
Mr. Osman Minkara is the founder of CIG Financial, a financial consulting and asset management company headquartered in Southfield, Michigan. CIG targets high net worth clients and small institutions to provide them with comprehensive financial services through its four subsidiaries. CIG currently manages over $150 million of its clients’ assets through various financial instruments, managed portfolios and hedge funds. In addition, CIG has been engaged in various structured product transactions throughout the United States. CIG currently serves clients in 22 different states and internationally. Mr. Minkara serves on multiple boards including Oakland County (Michigan) Economic Roundtable, and Wayne State University Executive Board. He holds a BS, Magna Cum Laude in Finance from Wayne State University, AMP from the University of Oxford, and earned his Executive MBA from New York University, London School of Economics and HEC. Mr. Minkara has earned multiple awards in the last few years including WSU Emerging Corporate Leader and Detroit Crain 40 under 40 (top 40 executives in Michigan under 40 years of age). In addition, he has been interviewed on financial matters by multiple media outlets including CBS and ABC.
