What’s so special about the H-Phone?
The H-Phone was designed with two key requirements in mind: ease-of-use and optimized display of medical information. The phone has a bright screen, large buttons, and a very simple interface making it easy and fast to learn to operate. The settings of the phone, such as volume, font size, and speed dials, can be set remotely, and special options such as the ability to remotely activate the speaker phone add a level of usability that other phones don’t have.
Is the H-Phone required to use your solution?
No. Our solution will integrate with a wide variety of off-the-shelf, compatible phones.
What about your phone network? Do I have to subscribe to your network to use your system?
No. You can stick with your current phone provider, or switch to our nationwide network. It’s your choice.
I’m not a techie. Is the mobile application difficult to use?
The application that runs on the cell phone is designed to be as easy and user-friendly as possible. The consumer interacts with the phone by following clear directions displayed right on the screen, pressing buttons, or simply talking. There is no complicated technology involved.
What happens if I’m out of network range and have no cell signal?
Our mobile application resides directly on your phone, so you will get your reminders even if you are out of network range. However, the information you provide will be collected on the phone and the phone will upload the data to our database once you are back in network range.
Is my medical data safe and secure?
Absolutely. Our servers are hosted at a Tier-1 service provider whose controls meet or exceed HIPPA guidelines. We host each Health Plan and Employer on a separate server. Our robust application security model prevents
one GenerationOne customer from accessing another’s data. We encrypt all communications with VeriSign Certification. We allow access only with a valid username and password combination, which is encrypted while in transmission. We ensure that all data
that is provided by a customer is owned by that customer and available only to authorized users.
You keep mentioning that you connect a “Community of Care”. What does this mean?
The GenerationOne solution is designed to keep consumers connected with the people who can make a difference to their health – physicians, family, and friends. By providing ongoing guidance and reminders while collecting crucial medical information, and by making the mobile phone the central tool in this process, the consumer can take control of his/her health, confident they are well-supported wherever they go.
We already have a disease management program in place at my company. Is this program a replacement for that?
The GenerationOne solution is totally flexible. It can replace your current disease
management plan, or it can enhance it. Our technology can be used to deliver your content to the consumer, for
example, or we can integrate with your PHR or nursing call center, if you
already have these things in place. Our goal is to provide you with the solutions you need to evolve what
you offer your members, and to improve efficiencies and lower costs.
