Managing my health through mobile sounds great.
How does it work?
GenerationOne uses advanced technology and detailed medical knowledge to develop a solution that is medically sound and designed to help you integrate your health regimen simply into your life. We know the only way to empower you towards better health is to help you maintain consistent health routines.
It’s complicated to keep up with instructions for prescriptions, exercise, diet requirements, and other activities your doctor recommends.
You’re not alone. 80% of all patients forget their doctor’s instructions within ten minutes of hearing them, and often leave their physician’s unclear about prescriptions, dosage, and other medical directions.
Here’s how we work with you:
GenerationOne delivers sophisticated medical content to help individuals proactively manage conditions.
| Diabetes | Asthma |
| Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease | Obesity |
| Congestive Heart Failure | Wellness Activities |
Designing a health program just for you.
GenerationOne integrates an approved medical program, based on your medical condition, into the GenerationOne health phone or compatible phone. (In the healthcare industry these programs are called medical scripts or protocols.)
Reminders and alerts.
The purpose of these programs is to remind you about the things you need to do and to guide you about the best way to manage your condition or to promote wellness. You receive simple reminders on your mobile phone asking you to take medications and conduct prescribed activities. When it is time to perform activities such as testing your blood or taking medication, the phone alerts you and provides the instructions of what to do, including images of the medication shown on the phone. You may be asked a series of questions that you can answer either by pressing buttons or through the voice response system. If you have a serious condition, at times you may be asked additional questions that will help further assess your current health status.
Ongoing personalized health assessment.
The results are automatically transmitted to our database and can trigger alerts (fax, email, or text message) to the GenerationOne Nursing Center, caregivers, or your Healthcare Professional, if necessary. This allows the physician the ability to intervene quickly to make necessary changes to care routines or prescriptions, averting a health crisis.
Once the information is analyzed you may receive specific instructions about taking action if necessary. For example, if you are a diabetic and your glucose levels were low, the system would prompt you to take the appropriate action, which could be to eat certain food types to bring down the levels, contact your physician and/ or seek out emergency treatment in severe cases.
Staying Connected to Your Community of Care.
The information collected is also stored in your online Personal Health Record. You can grant access to physicians, caregivers, family members or others who may play a role in monitoring your care. If any issue arises that generates an alert, the alert will also appear on the PHR.
24/7 Support and Emergency Help: You also have access to our 24-hour nursing call center. The nurses can view your PHR, and can answer questions about our solution or your medical data. The triggers will also alert GenerationOne’s On-Call Nursing Service, which will follow up with you. In an emergency, you can call for help through the cell phone by pressing one or two buttons, to reach the nursing call center, the physician, or a number of other pre-programmed numbers such as children or parents.
